Step 1:
Who are you?
Timothy Copley, The details of my life are quite inconsequential. Where do I begin? My father was relentlessly self-improving University Professor from Oklahoma with low grade inattentiveness and a penchant for Geology. My mother was a student of his, an Iowegian beauty named Zella with Red hair. My father would carouse, he would drink, he would make outrages claims like he solved an elevator to outer-space. Sometimes he would accuse me of being lazy, the sort of general malaise that only the genius posses and the insane lament. My childhood was typical, summers traveling, visiting every roadside cut along the way. When I was insolent, my mouth and I would become good friends with a bar of soap, pretty standard really. At the age of 12, I'd been to every state, at the age of fourteen, 15 different countries. Apologies to Dr. Evil.
Where do you live?
Phoenix, AZ currently. Global Crossing, at one point the second largest bankruptcy in the United states, moved me to Phoenix in 2000. I bought my first house that year, and have lived in Phoenix since then. I've also lived in Canada, MO, MI, NY.
What do you do? What is the context of your professional background?
I'm a field Engineer with iT1 a VAR. I've been in the telecommunication field for approximately 30 years. I've semi-retired and taken on a field engineering role. They pay to send me all over the country, I guess they don't realize that I'd probably do it for free for all the places they send me. A-list on southwest, gold on American, Double platinum diamond with Hilton, or whatever they call it now, and free miles to bring the wife, whenever she can get away from her job to come with me. I fly all over, build, install and configure computer and voice networks. During this course I'll be at SFO twice, MCO, MVY and maybe a few others. The evenings are mine and give me ample time to work on my coursework.
What is your educational background?
BS in EE from CMSU Graduated in 1991. I took several classes after that up until 1996 when I started getting paid enough that I decided to stop pursing any other higher educational degree. Now that I'm old enough to know better, although I don't always act it, I've decided to purse a masters in education to start teaching the newer "kids" in my field.
What do you like to do in your spare time?
I love to travel obviously, Greece in September and a trip planned to Thai at the end of November. I'm a Scuba diver and have dived all over the world, MO, CA, MI,HI, NY, MX, PI,GR,KY. I've shot on the AZ state pistol team for 10 years and have hunted elk all over the state.
Anything you would like your pod members to know about you
This is my second class towards my masters. 8 classes left after this one.
Step 2:
I cannot be team lead for any section between 11/23/22 - 12/04/22 I'll be out of the country. I'll be able to contribute, but don't feel like I should be coordinating something so important during my vacation. But I'm willing to take any section. Even the first one. I don't care what method we use for determining how we go.
Suggestions: High card? Draw straws? Mumbley Peg?
