EDT 502 Unit 3 Learning Goal Objectives

 
Learning Goal: At the end of this course, the leaner will be able to create a podcast for use on a University's LMS System use-able for a section of a course.

Objective 1: Define the podcast you are going to create.  There are a variety of ways in which to define a podcast, a variety of teaching methods to examine and a variety of equipment in which to create the podcast.  The goal of Objective 1 is to plan what you are going to do and how you are going to do it.  It is important to plan out how you are going to create your podcast because when you plan out your goal it allows you to create the idea you are trying to convey, determine if it's realistic and adjust your plan accordingly.  It also allows you to decide the length and amount of information you can put into your lesson as well as the format for the podcast and the equipment necessary.

Objective 2: Create a Narrative and properly plan and  script a Podcast. Creating a usable Narrative for the course allows the learner to further develop the course have an outline for which to speak, and make sure that all the information you wish to include has been addressed.  Creating of the Podcast with this script using the equipment you defined in objective 1, and saving the podcast into a file which can be played on the learners student devices.

Objective 3: Distribute that podcast to a group of Learners.  Using the university's LMS system to decide the type of podcast file or files and location of the file inside of the Learning management system.  Providing security to only allow a subset of the student population access to the podcast and verify that the podcast is in fact usable by the group of intended learners, and finally publishing the information of how the students can access and use the podcast
